NRL Legends game

The AA4A Committee will hold an NRL Legends Game Day event at McKinnon Field, Aberdeen on Saturday November 8 with all proceeds going to the Rise For Alex Fund.

The Aberdeen community has formed a committee in affiliation with Aberdeen Rugby League Football Club called Aberdeen’s All For Alex (AA4A)' to enable funds to be raised for Alex McKinnon’s rehabilitation and ongoing care.

The game day event will consist of a coaching clinic in conjunction with the NRL Development and exciting rugby league matches including the Hunter Valley Men of League verse Aberdeen Old Boys and the NRL Legends All for Alex Invitational Match.

Coaching clinic

The clinic starts at 10am and runs to approximately 12pm catering for players between the ages of 5 and 16 years.

The registration cost is $30 per head which includes a T-shirt, football, drink bottle, sausage sandwich and drink. The clinic offers a fantastic opportunity to be coached and rub shoulders with NRL Legends.

Rugby League Matches

Gates open ay McKinnon Field at 3pm.

Entry Fees:  Children U12 free, Pensioners $5, Adults $10.

The Hunter Valley Men of League verse the Aberdeen Old Boys Rugby League Match kicks off at 4pm.

The St Mary’s Primary School U10s verse Aberdeen Junior League U10s match will follow at 4.45pm.

The NRL Legends verse Aberdeen’s All For Alex Invitational Rugby League Match will kick off at 5.30pm.

The NRL Legends Game will be broadcast live by BLIVE (www.blive.net.au).

At the conclusion of the NRL Legends game a supporters and players barbecue will take place. The function will include player presentation, NRL Legends player jersey auction. The match ball will also be up for auction. Live music will be performed by by Darryl “Carrot” Bowen and Craig “Burnout” Daniels at the Aberdeen Sport and Recreation Club.

The RiseForAlex Fund was established to provide relief to Alex; and raises funds to provide Alex with ongoing financial and medical support, allowing Alex to focus on his recovery and rehabilitation. All funds raised by the AA4A Committee will be contributed to the RiseForAlex Fund.
